Wow guys, 70,000? I'm a bit shocked. It's pure luck that I happened to glance at my pageview counter today after so long, and I see this!

I apologise for the fact that I don't update my gallery very often anymore - since I have mostly switched from cosplay to making actual clothing, it takes me a lot longer to draft, construct and finish projects now than it used to (because I actually have to sew everything properly!). I hope that I can have some new things to show you really soon - at the moment I'm making great progress on a replica of this [link] Vivienne Westwood jacket, though I'm using a tartan in black, navy and dark green instead of the original red. I think it's going to be very pretty and a joy to wear, but I'm taking my time perfecting the pattern and doing lots of mockups because the beautiful shape and sit of the collar is what makes this garment fabulous.

Also in the pipline currently is a replica of Angelic Pretty's Puppet Circus JSK, a sassy houndstooth and fur coat, a slinky little dress in antique emerald kimono silk, and a dress inspired by this number from Paradise Kiss [link]

Making clothing that I can actually wear on a regular basis is becoming my joy - its so satisfying!
Don't get me wrong, cosplay has been an amazing part of my life over the last few years and I wouldn't even be here with these sewing skills without it (or even this interest in fashion perhaps! Friends who have only met me in recent years sometimes find this hard to compute, but before I started cosplaying I never cared about clothes or hair or makeup lol - BLASPHEMYYYYYYY) but it's a little chapter which has ended to make way for other equally wonderful things~

Hope everyone is having a good start to 2012 so far, I'm back at university as of this week (oh god.....) but I'm going to do my best this year to keep a healthy balance between studying and my creative pursuits. (Let's see how that goes hahahaha)
